I had a crush on someone who is two years older than me, AND it was reciprocated. We were both crushing on eachother, both had autism, but the FRICKING AGE GAP meant we couldn't be together. That and he already had a girlfriend... I'm forever patiently waiting as I told him, so if we still have feelings later on in life we could try then. I was a depresso bean because of the whole ordeal though, but at least we are still friends. Very good friends at that. Just not together. My first ever reciprocated crush irl was a disaster...

Imho I don't think age should be a big factor past 35. You all the same mental age at that point. But like if you're 18 and the person is in their 30's, I can clearly see how thats an issue. 

But sometimes I do be simpin for older men lol but I ain't doing nada with those thoughts lolol

I think the biggest 'acceptable' age gap at this point is 5-6 years.

But my aunt and uncle are like ten years apart so idk.
