I came into the room. It felt tense. Everyone looked at me.

”Alright. Let’s give a warm welcome a new member of the force, Candace Rinnala. Otherwise known as Detective Rinnala,” said the head.

”Hello,” I say. I put a nervous, but genuine smile on my face.

”Hello!”, everyone says, and waves. Then, they do I salute, and I do the same.

I take my place in the room.

A few months pass, and I am named head of the detective force.

We were talking about a new case in which I will be the head detective.

I went over to my desk. I put the case files inside my cabinet and lock it. Then, I left for home.

When I had gotten home, it was late. About twelve thirty a.m. Maybe even later. I then went to sleep.
