(Introduction)
Marshal Jetstream is sitting outside her office. Deputy Dan McKay is currently out of town on an assignment.
JETSTREAM (voiceover narration) : "Today it's another day on my own. I'm used to it by now, of course but I love it more when Dan and I are together. Oh well, I'll just tough it out (slight giggle)."
As Marshal Jetstream enjoys the breeze in the air, a group of outlaws ride into town on horses, three men and a woman. They head to the bank.
Two of the outlaws go inside and begin robbing the bank while the woman and the other man remain outside.
OUTLAW 3: "When we ride outta here with that money, we'll be so rich we'll make ourselves sick."
PEACHES : "Yeah, and I'll be able to go to San Francisco with all that money, live a life 'a luxury."
As the two finish robbing the bank, the four start to ride out when they are stopped by Marshal Jetstream.
JETSTREAM : "Hold it there!! I wouldn't plan on runnin' outta here just yet, now."
OUTLAW 1 : "Could it be you're the law? Why, you're just a woman. How are you gonna stop us?"
Outlaw 1 attempts to draw his gun.
Without hesitation, Marshal Jetstream outdrew and shot Outlaw 1, knocking him off his horse and killing him.
JETSTREAM : "Wanna see what else this woman can do? You'd be a mighty fool to try."
Outlaw 2 starts a shootout with Marshal Jetstream. He hands his partners the money and tells them to make a run for the outside of town.
During the shootout, Marshal Jetstream tries to get a clear shot, but Outlaw 2 buys just enough time for his partners to get away and makes a getaway himself.
JETSTREAM : "Shoot. They got away."
Marshal Jetstream mounts her horse and goes after them.
JETSTREAM : "Come on, Nicholas, yaaahh!! (catchphrase for her horse named Nicholas). "
In a deserted location, the three outlaws ponder on their new ambitions now that they have the money.
OUTLAW 3 : "I can't believe it. That was the easiest money ever....but that law woman tried to pick us off one by one, and almost succeeded. We can't take another chance like that."
OUTLAW 2 : "That's for sure. Hey Peaches, you said something about San Francisco. With this much money, even divided among us evenly, you'd still have more money than you'd know what to do with."
PEACHES : "I did say something about San Francisco....but now I'm not so sure this is the right way to do it."
OUTLAW 3 : "What's wrong, Peaches? 'Ya not gettin' cold feet are you?"
PEACHES : "....Of course not, but....I'm gonna take a walk just for a spell."
With Peaches away, the other two outlaws check to see if Marshal Jetstream is out there.
OUTLAW 3 : "You think that woman is on our trail?"
OUTLAW 2 : "Surely she's on her way here....but there's no way she can handle the three of us at once. What's her aim?"
While the two outlaws are awaiting their next move, Marshal Jetstream sneaks up and grabs Peaches from behind before she can make a sound.
JETSTREAM : "Shhh Shhh Shhh. You make one sound and I'll have to silence you, comprende?"
PEACHES : ".... It's you."
JETSTREAM : (whispering) "Yes, now you've got to be quiet so as they won't hear us. I wanted to use what little time we have left before they get impatient."
PEACHES : ".... What do you wanna talk about?"
JETSTREAM : "How did you get mixed up with those guys? I'd like to believe in my heart you're not a bad girl."
PEACHES : "But you don't know....you just don't know."
JETSTREAM : "Know what?"
PEACHES : "Those....those outlaws made me feel like I was somebody, somebody important. As long as I've known 'em, they never turned on me....oh I know stealing the money was wrong, but I just wanted to get to San Francisco."
JETSTREAM : (slight giggle) "I see."
PEACHES : "I....I guess I was misguided, wasn't I?"
JETSTREAM : "No.... I don't think so. You just had to realize. You know, I never did catch your name."
PEACHES : (chuckling) "It's Peaches.... I know, it's a silly name, right?"
JETSTREAM : No it's not a silly name. I think it's a very nice name."
PEACHES : "I appreciate that, miss."
JETSTREAM : "Many people call me Jetstream. It's sort of a name I adopted."
PEACHES : "Jetstream, eh? I feel I heard that name before....well, Miss Jetstream, I have a question. Will they hang me?"
JETSTREAM : "Not at all. "
PEACHES : "You know, they'll kill me if they find out I told you this but, we've never broken the law, the four of us. It was only recent that the four of us became obsessed with getting rich. I realize I was wrong."
JETSTREAM : "I figured it was like that. You're a nice young lady. Here, take this gun, but don't use it unless the situation calls for it. The main priority is gettin' the money back."
PEACHES : "Got it! I'm ready."
The two women start to approach the remaining outlaws in an attempt to regain the stolen bank money.
Meanwhile....
OUTLAW 3 : "What's keeping Peaches? Why don't we just go without her?"
OUTLAW 2 : "That wouldn't be right. We may be a lotta things, outlaws, bafoons even, but not unfaithful. I say wait just a little longer."
"Don't bother, I'm right here."
JETSTREAM : (quickly outdraws the outlaws) "Don't go for your gun!"
OUTLAW 3 : "What!!!!???? Peaches, you turncoat, you joined up with that lawwoman."
PEACHES : "Well, you're part right. Let's just say in the meantime, I realized my error. It's time you done the same."
OUTLAW 3 : "Well, if it's a gunfight you want, it's one you're gonna get."
OUTLAW 2 : "Hold it!!!! You must answer one question first, lawwoman. If we hand you the money, what happens to us?"
JETSTREAM : "I don't know about your partner there, but I'd gladly let you go free, no questions about it. Like I told Peaches, the bank money is our number one priority."
OUTLAW 2 : "I see. Then....I will give you the money."
OUTLAW 3 : "No. You're not gonna turn tail on me, too" (attempts to draw his gun).
PEACHES : "LOOK OUT!!"
Jetstream quickly outdraws Outlaw 3, killing him.
OUTLAW 2 : "You know what? It looks as though the obsession took over. It finally got to where he lost a bit of himself too. Here. (gives Jetstream the money) I wanna apologize for everything, Marshal. From all of us."
JETSTREAM : "Don't worry about a thing. You did the right thing. It's okay."
OUTLAW 2 : "It's like Peaches said. I also realized my errors."
JETSTREAM : "So what are your plans?"
OUTLAW 2 : "I'm not sure, but I know I'm ready to walk a straight line, maybe find work, if I can show my face around everyone."
JETSTREAM : "Don't worry. I'll tell everyone what happened. Millennium City's not a town that they should pass judgement."
PEACHES : "Really???? You mean....we'll be able to live normally for a change?"
JETSTREAM : (slight giggle) "Yeah. Come. Let's go."
