Khalil was my only brother. We would play in the fields together like there was no tomorrow. Then something happened. We couldn't go out anymore. Everyday me and Khalil would sit by the window longing to play like we used to. One day while mama was working we sneaked out planing to return home before mama noticed. We being kids couldn't comprehend the danger. Wandering far away, we heard a plane over us. Something huge fell from it. We knew this was what mama had warned us about. Everything faded in terror. I survived - but Khalil was gone.
