Track led the way to the highway like an alpha wolf (no brain rot please. It’s an actual thing.), though without a partner, leading the pack to hunt. Karu and Karde followed along behind him, running with pure speed they achieved from the gym training sessions they took together. Runice summoned her clone and made it run in front of her, occasionally swapping places and re-summoning it to be in front of her. Ryla skated on the roads with her quad skates and hopped on the walls of the city to avoid the cars and trucks. Aerbice grabbed a skateboard from a random civilian and somersaulted through the town as she took pictures of different places to pretend to be “hanging out” with Chris in case she gets interrogated by the police for possibly causing endangerment, traffic problems, destruction of property, and vandalism. Chris also hopped on a board. She saw a shop nearby that just happened sell surfboards and started making nearby citizens cry and controlled their tears to flow right beneath the surfboard and surfed her way through the place. (I’m sorry I didn’t know what else to write. It’s plot armour.)
Soon, they reached the exit of the highway and continued to track down their enemies and the twins. However, Track’s tracking power started going “off-track” (pun intended) and displayed a different location each second.
“I can’t find Tradif and Qrent. My power’s glitching.”
“Powers can’t glitch unless they have a built-in bug! They’re not electrical devices,” protested Ryla, “Or maybe, you’re a TOH agent.”
“No, I’m not! It’s just glitching!”
Ryla readied her fists to punch him, but was then stopped by Runice.
“Ryla, wait. How bout you use your power to check if he’s an enemy first?”

Ryla told everyone the results of her power and ordered an attack on Track.
“Yes, he is! Now attack him!”
“W-wait! Powers must display people’s full names! It only said ‘Track’! Your power’s glitching too! It must’ve glitched the success rate along with it!” Track panicked.
Then, Karde tried summoning her poker cards but instead got UNO cards. Karu joined, received a Knight Piece, when summoning a King Bomb. Runice also used her power. She waved her right hand in the air. However, her clone merely stood still in one place, like a deer in headlights.
“There’s gotta be an enemy nearby. Buffer type. Debuff is a type of self-buff,” Karde said with sign language.
“So, you found us! Congratulations! I was watching you the whoooooole time. But I was hoping you would fight your own team after seeing that 100%.”
A small (but taller than Ryla) figure appeared, with heterochromia eyes filled with disappointment and a black face mask covering the bottom half of his face.
“What a pity. You never act like how I want! Don’t you understand that you were supposed to fight! I could’ve proven that humans will fight their own team once there’s some suspicion! This is not going according to my plan. The Original Humanity is the only truth after all. Yet you’re defying the ultimate truth!” He cried.
“The switch up is crazy. One second he’s excited that we found him, the next he’s disappointed in us,” noted Runice.
“Anyways, they’re probably some cult we need to stop. So let’s just fight,” Ryla added.

“Nu-uh-uh! We haven’t introduced ourselves yet! You ‘heroes’ are so impatient!”
“We? There’s more of you?” Asked Track, “Well, I can’t fight. So I might as well just hide somewhere.”
“No need for that. We only want to spread our beliefs and… darkness. Darkness shall conquer all! But no need to fear. We wish not to hurt you. We shall only ever bring out the truth to all without hurting anyone,” a tall man appeared wearing a black hoodie with the hood on, black pants, black socks, black shoes and a matching black mask with the other man, “unless you stand in The Original Humanity’s way of saying what’s right. We don’t mind if you are hurt. It’s for the greater good. And since Tracker Trackingson over there doesn’t want to fight, you may step aside and you’ll be safe. And my power, Darkness at the end of the tunnel, I can steal lights from anywhere I can see.”
“And I’m G-Gl-Gli-Glit-Glitch! Bugging you! I can make everyone’s power within a 10m radius go wrong and wacky! Yeah, and I hate you so-called heroes acting all righteous in front of society when you’re just as bad as everyone else! You say having powers makes you better, gives you more job opportunities. Then I tried interviewing for a job at the police department. And what I got? Oh you can’t help us, you ruin our powers. So then I said, I can stop power-wielding villains! Your power can’t even be used for combat. They’re still stronger than you even if their power goes wrong. So what, huh? Can’t I train to be stronger? Soon I went to get a job as a local power buster, basically someone who exposes power-wielders who use their power to do tricks and earn money like the dude that exposed Miss Ru Sterr. And then they said, you’ll wreck their powers! How are you gonna find out the truth with that? I told them their tricks won’t work if my power wrecks theirs, therefore it will expose them. And they said they’ll never find out the truth! They can just investigate them and interrogate them like they do to normal criminals! ‘Power gives you status.’ What nonsense! You’re all such hypocrites who can’t do anything without this hierarchy! Have a power, you’re cool. Don’t have one, be normal. But have a bad power like mine? You’re a failure for life! The truth isn’t power over none, but it is good powers over none over bad powers! Curse you and your stupid powers!”
Suddenly, the sun blinked at them multiple times, it was definitely Shade’s power getting bugged by Glitch. A confused look appeared on Shade’s face. He stared at the flickering sun and was paralyzed in it.
“I know you don’t believe in The Original Humanity. But you can be sure of one thing, a man’s got to fake just to stay alive.”
“Yeah whatever, this guy’s weird. Those words make no sense,” insulted Ryla.
“If you think I’m weird, tell that to Osamu Dazai,” he replied.
Ryla ignored him and took this chance to command the others to quickly attack him. Karde knew her cards would be weird, so she took the cards from her skirt and threw them at his eyes. Chris then controlled his eyes and made him bawl them out. In no time, he was writhing in pain, the salt in the tears flowed straight at the wounds. He could no longer see, the sun no longer flickered, he was no longer an enemy.
“So uhh… Imma go right now! Toodles!”
Saying that, Glitch ran away without even looking at Shade. The heroes ignored it and continued their search for the twins. Track’s power also goes back to normal and was successful at locating them.

“The name sounds terrible tho. Why’s everything called ‘Smiles’ in here? It’s so boring and it sounds like the government just has no brain in thinking of better names,” said Runice. (Yeah I sometimes make my characters conscious because I know I’m terrible at making names and stuff and I’ll let them do the judging.)
Soon they reached the school and paid the driver together.
“Sup. They just left us here earlier. Heard some of their convos too,” said Qrent.

“We overheard Don and Ru talking on the phone with their boss, they are about to be punished for kidnapping the heroes because the boss knows Track’s power and it will reveal their hideout so they left us in front of this school,” he continued.
“What they didn’t know was, that me and Qrent co-operated with each other and dropped our UNO and Scrabble cards out the window of the car and left a trail for you guys to follow,” added Tradif.
