echo’s in my brain

screams in my mind

pain, fear, tears

from so long ago

hate, but love

desperate despair

tied to the ground

magneted in place

an overloaded bridge

near the breaking point

stalked

by looming darkness

shadows creep

trying to swallow me

whole

hidden from others

the way i like

for i need

strength

still

the torture

day by day

slowly

wearing me down

hold it back

keep it small

it smells it

fear, sadness, anger

feeding on weakness

it grows

soon

your over the edge

the horizon

with no return

how to explain

and get back

once past edge of a

black hole

doomed to lose it

to scare the crowd

hide, cry, scream

it will get board

eventually

freed from its hold

but the rebound

so slow

sleep speeds recovery

crave the night
