以常州詞派意內言外的方式寫晉室南渡。

第1句：以水岸染塵喻北方胡化。

第2句：以煙瞬染樹喻胡人伏撃晉軍。

第4句：以花飄南方象徵晉室南渡。

第5句：以叢護露珠象徵寵絡江東士族。

第7句：以光與影分半喻荊揚之爭。

第8句：以燕幾次叫象徵士族叛亂。
