Our first shy encounter, two souls from different lands with no common tounge, unable to, yet stubbornly trying understand each other. The way you strugled to tell your stories, seeing in my eyes I understood every third or fourth word. But you were unrelenting, patient; and later when I learned your language you retold all those stories with the same enthusiasm; and I felt as if I could listen you for years.
Love is the way you supported me through college, aşways there to explain and read out my notes, studying them yourself in order to teach me, cheering me on when I felt I understood nothing, when I struggled studying in this different language I was still in the process of learning.
Love is our trips together on our shared birthday, staying in cheep hotels and walking around all day, you explaining the history of the place and putting up with my endless questions. Love is the way you always listen to me and nod along when I passionately go on and on about my favourite tv show, the book I was hooked on and the movies you didn't even like.
Love is us moving in together and decorating our apartment, quarreling about what type of coffee table to buy, spending days searching online; yet still holding our drinks in our hands. Love is our completely different taste in tv shows, and searching for anything we can watch together, then waiting for the other to fall asleep and change the channel.
Love is the way I knew you would propose that exact day, and still felt shy, and exited, and loved more than ever.
The way you are so stern against the world, yet so soft and kind in my arms. The way you put up with me pmsing, the mornings I can't get up, the days I don't feel like doing anything. The way we tag each other in funny memes and then talk about it right after.
