I leaned back on my leather couch, staring at the ceiling... Where a mural of my enemies lied. "Can you please paint over that? You're not an Elite anymore. Move on from that life," Kyle, my best buddie, said from beside me. "No."
"No- what?" I sat up straight, staring at his grey eyes, which looked bright from his silver hair. "No to all of it. I'm an Kyrn, I can't give up." He raised a brow, "I thought your clan or whatever threw you out." I nodded, "They did," Temporaryly... To protect me. "But it doesn't change who and what I am."
"So... You plan on going back?" I grinned, looking back up at the mural. "Yeah. But not yet. I have to stay at the Academy." To watch and be watched. Be an Elite. "YES," He yelled as he jumped up.483Please respect copyright.PENANA59QCL1ijYP

I smiled, though I didn't want to. I hate the Academy... I gain way to much attention for being an Elite.483Please respect copyright.PENANAHS7caOuKcb

"Speaking of," Kyle said as he looked at his watch, "It's seven. We need to hit the road or we'll be late." I groaned and rose from the coach, picking up my keys from the coffee table. "I'm driving."483Please respect copyright.PENANAAtuDxBa4AO

"I just have a limp. I can still drive. Let's go."

As I walked through the halls with Kyle, almost everyone would stop, stare, and whisper about my limp... Even whispering, 'she's no longer an Elite', or 'about time that bitch got lower than us.'
"You good, Motome?" I glanced at Kyle, and shrugged, "Yeah." Right after that, we reached our first class, which was battle strategies. There were no assigned seats, so we sat at the front and center table.483Please respect copyright.PENANAiHjQVp7mwI

Mr. Friar looked up from his laptop and smiled, "It's good to see you back, Ms. Kyrn. How were the battles?" I smiled, remembering the past. "Intense, sir."483Please respect copyright.PENANAe2EAdCs3rc

"Anything challenging?" I nodded, and motioned towards my leg. "The beast tore up my leg. I'm told that I'm no longer an Elite, or will never fight again because of how bad my leg is." Mr. Friar laughed, "You are an Elite for a reason, Motome. Elites don't stop being an Elite because they have a fake arm, or mangled leg. They simply have to work harder. That's why you're here again."483Please respect copyright.PENANAfDuMZUJVlc

I smiled, "Thank you, sir." Then more students flooded into the classroom.

"Now, let's say the school was surrounded by the Creatures of the Dark, and they're going to try and kill us all. What do we do," Mr. Friar asked as he pointed at a map of the campus. I opened my mouth to give an answer, but I was beat to it by Nira Lodge. Honest to the Lord, she's a bitch. She hates on everyone and always tries to one up me.
"We should have all entrances locked, a few Elites at all doors, and wait for the military to arrive. We don't want to get killed." I huffed, and Mr. Friar looked to me. "Everything alright, Ms. Kyrn?" I shrugged, "Nira," I began, looking at her, "You say we should wait for the military so we dont killed... Correct?" She nodded. I looked to Mr. Friar and pointed at Nira, "Her answer has flaws. May I give an answer?"
He nodded and motioned for me to continue. I stood and walked over to the map, picking up a few markers. "Black for the enemies, red for Elites, green for regular students. We're completly surrounded, correct?" Mr. Friar nodded. "Do we know if they're on the roof?"483Please respect copyright.PENANAcUEEIM7hD9

"No, we don't." I nodded, popping the cap off the black marker. I scribbled on the outside of the school, and drew a question mark on the map of the roof. I then put the black marker away, and took out the red marker. "Total of Elites?"483Please respect copyright.PENANAVajo8D9zY3

"Twelve, including me and you." I then drew three red dots at the front and back of the school, top floor. Two dots on the left and right, then two at the stairs leading to the roof. Taking the green marker, I added a few dots with the red ones by the stairs, and in all rooms. 483Please respect copyright.PENANAaOvxTewKJu

"First, we'll need to see if there's anything on the roof. The two Elites, and a few of the most skilled students, will go up to the roof. Depending on what's up there, they may need back up. Once we have the roof checked and clear, the two Elites will stay there and bring death from above. Depending in what we're dealing with, the rest of the Elites will head straight into the fray or stay inside and do what the Elites on the roof are doing. We should also contact Elite HQ for backup. They'll get here faster than the military or the police. This plan can vary, and change drastically based on how many, who or what is being dealt with. Any corrections for me, Mr. Friar?"
He rested his chin on a hand, and studied the map. "Let's say there's a Hria," He paused, watching me carefully. I've never encountered a Hria... All I know about them is that they're the most dangerous, and are extremely hard to kill. "Your leg will make it nearly impossible for you, or for anyone, to defeat it. On top of that... You're a Kyrn, you need to stay alive. What will you do?"
"Be. That's what I'll do."
