Everyone in the living room had all gotten quiet after seeing Sullivan, Stewart, Anderson, Jenkins, and Carter all run out the door. They all stared at each other wondering what was going on.
Elliott walked into the living room. He was dialing a number on his cell phone.
“What’s going on?” Mary asked.
Elliott slowly said: “Sullivan was the killer.”
Silence stirred up the room for a brief moment. But the silence was cut off by Katy bursting into tears. Her children bawled with her.
Everyone else just stared blankly and said nothing. Nadia shot Kathleen a very nasty look, but Kathleen just ignored it. She kept an arm around Dennis, who had his arm around her.
Somebody turned the music on the television off. The only sounds that could be heard in the room were the sobs of Katy and her children.
Victor Jenkins had no heart to say anything similar to: “I was right.” He had too much sympathy for the Sullivan family.
Elliott looked around the room for a brief moment and sat down on a chair. He resumed dialing his phone for the police.
Dennis suddenly stood up and said: “Mom, I have to go.” Then, he left the room.
Howard and Cruz walked out of the hallway and sat down at the dining room table, where Casey was still sitting.
“Man, what a night,” Cruz said.546Please respect copyright.PENANAhvYx1l3EWw
